This weeks edition of Monday Funday is going to be brought to you by funny Irish sayings and quotes. I know that St. Patty’s day was Yesterday, but I still thought it would be fun to share some of these funny quotes and saying that I found to make you smile on a Monday…when we would all rather still be sleeping in. ENJOY!!
That’s right! Today is officially my last day at GTM Sportswear. I have really enjoyed working here, for the most part, but I am sooooo happy to be moving to a job with better hours! I am going to miss my coworkers and several of my customers but I’m ready to move to a job that will be a career for me, somewhere I can move up and continue to grow. Plus, this is much better for my family…better hours means more time to spend with them and a better paycheck means that we won’t have to stress about bills as much. This also means that I’ll have more time to READ again, more time to BLOG again, more time to have some ME time again!
I also just wanted to point out that little Miss. Jera is officially SIX MONTHS OLD TODAY!!! Can you believe that it’s already been a half a year since she was born??!! They really do grow so fast! Here is a picture of Jera attacking her Father! LOL.

I am excited to say that there have been even more changes in my life and I’m happy to also say that these changes = more time to actually read and BLOG!
As many of you know, last year I started working at a Sportswear company in my area and my hours were 10 am – 7 pm. I know that many people can make crazy hours work, but when you are trying to work out and take care of a new born it was a bit overwhelming for me. I’m happy to say that starting Monday, the 18th, I will be working at a NEW JOB! A job that I can make a career AND I will be working a normal 8 am – 5 pm shift! I’m soooooo excited about this change. I will actually be able to come home AND read!!
Also, Mr. Tony and I are now engaged! I know some of you who are also my FB friends have already heard the news but I’m so excited to say that at the beginning of 2014 I will become a Mrs to a wonderful man!
Jera is getting SOOOO big! She will be 6 months old this Thursday and I can’t believe how big she has gotten already! She is rolling over, all over the place, and seems to be getting to the point where she is going to start army crawling soon. She can sit up by herself for a few seconds now…before she gets distracted and falls over. LOL. Her next Dr’s appointment is this Friday and we will see how big she has gotten.
ALSO, Tony and I have been reading together. We just finished “Dash an Lily’s Book of Dares” and I’m going to talk to him about doing a dual review soon. We are now working on Gena Showalters, “Wicked Nights”. I can tell you that we really enjoyed Dash and Lily and that we are sooooooo excited to be back in the world that is Gena! Definitely keep your eye out for those reviews soon.
Yep, that’s what is going on in our world in a nut shell. I can’t wait to actually be back in the swing of things again!!!!! Thank God for this amazing job offer that has brought me back to the world that I need to be in to stay sane! Things are definitely starting to look UP!
Getting back into blogging and reading has been tough but I’m trying to stick to it. Not having a lot of spare time with a family now is taking some adjusting to figure out how to put enough spare time in the week so I can visit blogs, read, and create posts. My biggest plan to do my posts on the weekend has fallen through the past couple of weeks but I plan on making it happen this weekend! LOL. Hopefully I will also have a book review for you soon!!
Well enough about that…I decided to bring you Monday Funday brought to you by the adorable Jera, hopefully these bring a smile to your face, and maybe even a little laugh or two! Enjoy…
So I’ve noticed a spike in authors working with an artist to create a graphic novel of some of the books/series/characters that I truly enjoy. The most recent one that caught my eye is Fever Moon by Karen Marie Moning and it’s actually a new novel featuring our two main characters in the Fever Series, Mac and Barrons. I’m not sure why, but I’m a little apprehensive about picking up this book as well as any other graphic novels, so I was hoping to get some input from you ladies…
…So…What do you think about Graphic Novels? Have you checked them out? Do you like them? If you haven’t, what is holding you back?
Todays Monday Funday is brought to us by Someecards…I am sure that you’ve seen these floating around, especially if you’re ever on Facebook! They are just funny. They have a dry sense of humor sometimes but I figured out of these 5 that I’ll post for you today, at least one of them has to make you laugh and say HECK YEAH!!! ENJOY!
I know that it’s been a long time since I’ve been in the book world so that is what has inspired my question today! Please enjoy sharing your thoughts.
What are the top 3 books you are still anticipating the release of before the end of 2012??
