Story Overview:
What if the legend of Santa Claus is in fact, true? What if Santa has five big strapping sons who help him run his empire? Five single, sexy sons looking for romance… Nicholas Klaus is a master pastry chef, a strict disciplinarian, and the eldest son of the legendary Santa Claus. One look at cafe owner Lucy Brewster sends him into an unexpected tailspin of lusty desires. When Lucy is injured, Nicholas makes a decision that catapults their lives into turmoil… Lucy Brewster, the free-spirited proprietor of Sweet Inspiration, has a flair for concocting sugary confections but no time for adventure. She gets more than she bargained for when she awakens in the North Pole…rambunctious elves, a fitness-obsessed Santa, and the man of her dreams. Does she have what it takes to become the next Mrs. Klaus?
Review:
What a fabulous book to get you in the Christmas spirit. This book abounds with elfin magic, Christmas sweets, twinkling lights, and a fun romantic story. This is the story of Santa’s oldest son, Nicholas. He’s the oldest of Santa’s five boys and is expected to take over the family business (i.e. become Santa) although his passion is baking. His other passion is Lucy, from Eston, NY where she runs her own bakery. She doesn’t know about his family secret, but when she is mortally injured in an accident, she is thrown into the magical world that is the North Pole.
This book is so magical and so full of Christmas spirit. From page 1 when you are actually still in Eston, NY at Lucy’s bakery, the book simply sparkles with Christmas imagery and delights. Lucy is basically alone in her world with the exception of her customers from the bakery, but you can tell that they love her. Her giving and vivacious spirit captivates all who come into her bakery including Nicholas. He’s as captivated by her as he is by her wonderful baked goods.
Nicholas has his own bakery up at the North Pole which he runs very differently from the way that Lucy runs her. His bakery is very structured and regimented. They are complete opposites in the way that they do things but that brings out the best in both of them when they are together. They are a great couple.
This was an absolutely fabulous book and so sweet and perfect for a holiday read, but that doesn’t stop the passion between Lucy and Nicholas from being plenty hot…there are some fabulous love scenes in this book. I esp. liked the elfin magic that appears when their passions arise…a really fun little piece of magical inspiration.
From what I understand, each of the sons of Santa will get a book in this series. Judging from the glimpses we’ve seen of the boys in this book, Nicholas is the most traditional of the boys which means that there is more really fun books to come in this series. Something to look forward to each Christmas and to truly put in the mood for some Christmas magic of your own….

Thank you so much, Deanna, for letting me guest-review. I had so much fun with this book and thinking about Christmas at this time of the year! smiles…
No problem at all Christi! I was just happy that you were excited about reading a Christmas book in July.
I really appreciate your help and participation in this month’s event and for reviewing this book. I’d been so curious about it and you have officially convinced me that I need to check this book out. It’s on my TBR list for this coming December when I do another full month of Christmas stuff.
Thank you again so very much!
I won this one
Well I won and could choose from a list and picked this book and now I can’t wait to read it
I think you picked a great book to check out. I can’t wait to see your review when you get around to picking it up.
oooh, you’ll have to come back and tell us what you think when you read it. It’s just seriously a fun book!
I loved this book when I read it. Plenty hot is right. Dude that sleigh scene…ooohh weee. Totally had to fan myself.
Great review Christi!
Oh a sleigh scene??!! That sounds hot. Rawr.
I can’t wait to pick this book up!
oooh, yeah! LOVED the sleigh scene! hehe
This sounds like such a cute book! I am totally going to be reading it come Christmas time. Great review Christi…as always.
I am going to be reading this one come Christmas time as well and book 2 in the series is being released this year as well. So excited to start this fun Christmas series.
You’ll like it Julie! It is full of Christmas whimsy with a whole lot of sexy scenes thrown in. PERFECT for getting into the holiday spirit!
This book sounds great and super cute! I love Christmas and I haven’t read a sexy Christmas story
… Yet!
Great review. I’m adding this to my TBR.
Christi did do an awesome job with this review! I know I’ll be getting myself a copy when I buy the one for my Christmas Giveaway that starts tomorrow.
Add this one to your TBR…hot & fun…it’s awesome!
Thanks for the review… This book sounds enchanting and I’ll have to remember it come December! I’m not quite reading to give up summer… it just got here!
LOL. I can undestand that Jen…but I’m definitely a fall/winter girl and Christmas just brings warm fuzzies to me. After the year I’ve had so far warm fuzzies was at the top of my must have list.
Can’t wait to see what you think toward Christmas time.
LOL…I understand, but I have to admit that it’s actually pretty nice to be reading about cold and snow when it’s so hot outside. It was fun!
Ooooh, I like the sound of this. Really interesting to think Santa had five hot sons considering Santa isn’t all that hot LOL! There was a short story I read somewhat like this. A real-life, sexy Jack Frost. Melting A Frozen Heart by Dahlia Frost. It was pretty good. So if I can like that when I didn’t expect to, I will love this LOL! Great review hon, this sounds really imaginative
That’s what I thought when I read this review from Christi! So imaginative…who would have thought to make Santa have 5 sexy sons and then make an entire 5 book series on them??!! This girl found a niche that noone else has thought of (at least to my knowledge). Still excited that book two is coming out this year!!!! I’m going to read this one as soon as Thanksgiving is over this year and follow it right up with reading the next book in the series.
Actually, in this book, Santa is pretty buff too…a fitness nut. The whole idea behind it is so fun. I really look forward to the other books because the rest of the boys are NOTHING like what you consider traditional Santa ideas…one is constantly in board shorts and looks like a beach bum. ;o) It’s going to be fun!
